So in between gigging in Paris with Boy George, photo shoots back home in Portsmouth, teaching vocal groups, writing music and actually getting a track RELEASED (Woah - big news to follow)… I’ve vowed to make time to blog more.
Those who know me, know I usually have a lot to say. Its knowing how to condense it that may prove tricky.
…. Of late:
I’ve become interested in a number of things lately - mainly to do with health. Call me boring but its recently come to my attention that I am NOT young anymore. I bloody ache. But this has probably been brought on by the endless amount of heavy gear I carry about. Everything from Keyboards and amplifiers to cameras and music books. But something hit me only the other day. What age is it that you suddenly realise ‘s***, I think I should have looked after myself better when I was younger’? At the ‘tender’ age of 33 (I use that term loosely of course) I’ve started to think it may be all a little too late go back now. So I’ve thought about how I can go forward instead.
The lovely Boy George recently told me how eating RAW had played a major part in improving his lifestyle. And we can all see the fantastic results of his lifestyle change compared to just a few years ago.
So what are your thoughts on this? Do you eat raw foods as a rule? Has this changed your life?
Also, my back!!!! God its knackered. How do I reverse the endless lifting and shifting damage? Short of hiring a permanent roadie. Any takers?
My point is, do we spend too long thinking ‘its ok, I’ll worry about this stuff when Im old’ when really we should be on this from an early age? I know I’m not old, but recently I’ve been bloody feeling it.
Time to get better chairs, better shoes, a juicer and a raw ‘cook’ book perhaps?????
What are your thoughts?
